GOTSEZHY REFUGE TOUR

The Gotsezhy Refuge Tour is one of the best options in terms of day trips that can be done as an alternative to beach activities when we are in Santa Marta During a vacation on the north coast of the Caribbean, to get to know the nature of the Sierra Nevada and be totally connected with the culture indigenous Wiwa.

The Refugio Gotsezhy, which means rebirth, is located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in the Guachaca River basin, immersed in nature, where the Wiwa Indians still keep their culture alive.

The community is inhabited by 50 Wiwa families who are dedicated to the cultivation and processing of Fique, the main component of their handicraft products.

A few minutes from the village is the Matuna Waterfall, where there is a natural pool of extreme beauty and very relaxing to bathe and refresh, immersed in the wild nature of Sierra Nevada.
