Colombian Amazon Tour Leticia 12 Nights

The salt and marble sculptures create a unique atmosphere that attracts many tourists and religious. At the exit we refresh ourselves in the kiosks of the panoramic terrace and return to Bogotá (duration 1 hour approx.), Lunch (free not included) in one of the typical restaurants on the way back, to arrive in Bogotá early in the afternoon and have the time to visit Monserrate accessible by cable car or funicular where we can have dinner (free not included), enjoying the sunset and the panoramic view.

Early in the morning, we go to Bogotá’s El Dorado national airport to take the Bogotá-Leticia flight (duration 2 hours approx.), A small border city on the banks of the Amazon River. Arrived at the small airport, we go to the Madre Selva hotel (duration 10 minutes approx.), Long enough to settle in the rooms and we go to the river port of Leticia or Tabatinga, depending on the level of the river, we embark and begin to climb to the Amazon River, we reach the point where the three borders of Colombia, Peru and Brazil meet, passing through the Laguna De Gamboa to continue the navigation on the Yavarí River, where we can observe some Monkeys or some Sloths to reach the Zacambú Lagoon , where it will not be difficult to detect some dolphins that follow the wake of our boat. Early in the morning, after breakfast, we go back to the river port of Leticia or Tabatinga, depending on the level of the river, we embark and start sailing on the Amazon River to Puerto Nariño, while we sail we will enter one of the channels to observe the Victoria Regia, the largest of all water lilies. We continue sailing and we arrive at the Island of the Monkeys, while we walk through the trails of the island the guide will show us the different species of monkeys that live there, without a doubt there will be close encounters and happy episodes that characterize them. At the end, we continue the navigation, we will make another stop in the Community of Macedonia, where we can buy some articles and observe their culture, arriving in time for lunch (included) in Puerto Nariño. After breakfast, we embark to reach Lake Correo and Lake Tarapoto (duration 30 minutes approx.), Which is part of the Loretoyacu river basin, also paying homage to the great Amazon River. Lake Tarapoto is a popular destination for the presence of the pink dolphin or El Galan, as they call it here. Lunch (included), we return to Puerto Nariño and visit the Natutama Museum and the Naipata Viewpoint, to return to the hotel at night.

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we go to the river port of Puerto Nariño to return to Leticia (duration 2 hours approx.). Upon reaching the river port of Leticia, we go directly to the Amazon World Park (duration 15 minutes approx.), To visit the Botanical Garden where we can observe medicinal plants such as Coca, Yagé, Barbasco, Sangregrado and others. We continue the visit with the park’s aquarium where there are more than 40 native species such as Piranhas, Macana, Carahuasu and others. We continue visiting the Cultural Village where we can practice with bow and arrows or throw darts with the blowpipe. After breakfast, our vans will be waiting for us to transfer to the Vasques Cobo airport in Leticia (duration 10 minutes approx.), To take the Leticia-Bogotá flight (duration 2 hours approx.) And after a few hours the connecting flight Bogotá-Santa Marta (duration 1 hour approx.). Upon arrival we go to the Nueva Granada hotel.
